Interesting facts about me

I just turned 50 this year and after suffering through a hunting accident in 2001 that almost killed me I am enjoying life every day and especially love bass fishing. Until I moved to TN I never knew bass fishing could be so much fun. I always went saltwater fishing. I was born in LA and went to school in NC. I frenquently post on the Chattanooga Fishing Forum. This is my first BassCat and I am loving it. I tested Triton and some others prior to. My dream would be to buy a new Jag or Puma one day. Tight Lines!

Thanks billfish!!!!, How much would you take for them Shipped to 22815? The southco locks look great but pretty expensive. I bet I could get the other locks re-keyed.

CriggVA - I checked and I have 3 latches and the key code is RH001. These are the plastic all black that were standard on all boats and that is what you need right? I can ship to you all three for $20 just to cover shipping and my trip to the PO or UPS. Give me your shipping address and phone number and I will get them out today or tomorrow. My number is 423-875-3135 and I am in Chattanooga TN if you want to talk about it. I was just keeping these in case I need them but I switched my front deck out to the upgraded latches this summer because a buddy left two of the old latches handle up and the stepped on it and broke it - AGH! These are not broken but I do have the two broken ones also if you want them for future parts. I am not even sure why I kept those 2. Let me know if you want them all or just the 3 that are not broken.

Thanks for the comment. I'm so worried that I will mess something up when I load the boat. Hopefully, things will fall into place once I get the boat to the lake. These dang things are so expensive that one will worry themselves sick thinking about what "could" happen. Take care!

Hey no problem. The biggest mistake I kept making was having too much water. In both unloading and loading the first thing I do now is dunk the trailer to make sure the bunks are good and wet. Then I pull up to wear the water is just touching the top of the fender (now the fender is on an angle so it is touching the very back of the fender not the entire fender top). I have found that bringing the boat in with wind I just put motor in neutral once the boat is in between the fenders and the bunks and the hull do the alignment for me. Then I throttle on up until the bow is pretty close and I jump out of the seat and just walk to the bow just to make sure everything is aligned before final throttle to push to roller. Then it is only maybe 2 cranks and I am secure. BTW the trailer tongue is such that I can walk on it in front of the winch and step to dry ground. This is so different for me mentally because I used to have to submerge my Triton trailer to get it on and off and I was always jumping or wading to dry ground. Oh yeah the other tip that I got was to raise the motor to where it just makes that pop up before the boat enters the fenders - the reason - a lower motor may still be okay for the ramp but when you gun it to get it to the roller if the moter is higher there wont be a chance rocks and stuff are throw up and into your transom. I am no expert but this is kinda what I have learned to do. The previous owner gave me some pointers when I first bought it but I was scared to death the first few times I loaded!!
